On the Journey
The Journey of success is one with many twists and turns. In this blog I to line out 3 ways to help you make your journey a good and successful one.
1. Address Your Yesterday
When it comes to addressing your yesterday, I envision a construction project. The process goes design, demolish, rebuild. In life and personal growth, it’s the same. For success in our own walk we must address issues from our past or the things of yesterday. We must envision a new design for our life. With that in mind we demolish the old or that which holds us back from creating the masterpiece that we’ve dreamed of. Once the old has been cleared out, we can see the structure beneath and begin to reinforce it and rebuild it to our specifications.
2. Having a Coach
Having a coach will be one of the best decisions you make on your journey to see your dreams become a reality. I have had a coach for the last 8 years, he has helped me look at myself and see opportunities in my life as a leader, father, and husband. My coach has helped me do way more than I would have ever dreamed possible. You by yourself will only be able to go so far, but with a coach they will help push you to do things you never thought possible. They will stretch you and pull you in directions that, at times, will make you not real happy. Once you look back at it you will see it was well worth it. A coach is a person who trains an individual to reach their maximum potential. I truly believe you will not reach your full potential without someone in your corner pushing you to greatness.
3.Staying The Course
I look at life as a game where each play has a purpose. We can never get discouraged because of a single play or a set of plays. In life, it is the same. There will be times when we have the opportunity to let events swing our momentum; but for us to succeed, we should separate ourselves from the events, learn from them, and move on. The game of life is won at the end. As I always say "Your dreams only die if you quit." We must remain faithful and dedicated to our dream of success, and each day we will have a new play to call that we must execute with everything we have inside of us. Success is not gained overnight it is gained over the long haul, little distractions will come and go, but those of us that stay the course will reach our destination.
I hope these 3 things will help you stay with the dream you have in you. Only you will be able to fulfill it so stay the course and never quit on you or your dream.
